Eric Davidson's parents, one from the West of Scotland, the other from the East but who married each other nevertheless, were not at all keen on Eric doing dangerous work down a Pit. Eric argued that nothing could have been more dangerous to his well being than the first job he ever had, that as Rear Gunner on the local Milk Lorry.

Eric's claim to fame is that in Season 1988/89, he scored a goal for Coldstream against Albion Rovers, in the 2nd Round of the Scottish Cup. He admits, however, that in those days, Albion Rovers weren't the powerful force in Scottish Football they are today!
